Today saw a return to Glaisdale Head, an area that is turning out to be quite special, after only one previous visit, only putting up five problems, Steven Phelps took up the gauntlet and climbed a fine circuit on the blocks, I was keen to climb the problems. Also a problem called the Witch had had a foothold break, had this changed the grade? knowing that Glaisedale can split the rain clouds it was the perfect place, doing just that, giving us a dry day, bonus.
The Witch - Pagan?
Carved on the rock once hidden in the woods, quite spooky, the 'W' is also a foothold, I have no doubt now 'The Witch' is brilliant, the first move is harder, but the same, grade wise 6c+?. A hard first pull on small holds to gain a finger crack on poor feet.

Steve on Trial by Ordeal, check out the face, made me belly laugh
Chuffed with this one, added a sit to a good problem 'The Axe' thought the Sitter move from the arete was too hard last time. Finished the day on an pumpy classic from Steve, a rising traverse block on fine grained perfect sandstone.
